The policy of Yasap is based on three pillars
Through our work in these three fields we wish to help women and children in Timor building a new future. To show the importance of these three sectors we use the simile of the Three Cooking Stones (Tiga Batu Tunku). In the Indonesian kitchen the three cooking stones are an indispensable utensil. The stones provide a basis for the cooking- pots and if people can dispose of wood and the good ingredients (means, money) they can prepare a good meal. Through this comparison all children and women in Timor can be made to understand that they have to pay attention to education, good health and economic activities in order to gain a sound independent future.
