ACHIEVE DREAMS TOGETHER WITH NON-STOPPING LEARNING By Debby Modok
The dream of making YASAP a service institution that blesses many people, has been my hope all along. YASAP is not a large institution like other social institutions in general. However, if measured by time, YASAP is still in service and has reached the age of 21 years (2003 - 2024). I started studying as a kindergarten teacher and continued to learn both independently and through learning opportunities that came from various parties. In this process, Ceria Christian Kindergarten has become a model school and is recognized by various parties, both the Government and equivalent educational institutions, even world institutions, but what is most important for us, is the public's trust in the school. Currently, the Ceria Christian Kindergarten is one of the schools that has a high quality of learning. In the agricultural sector, YASAP also started with an organic farming pattern that was pioneered in 2018.
We learned slowly, by managing one dry land as a garden and one area of wet land as a rice field. At that time, with limited agricultural staff, we felt doubtful that we could develop in organic farming. I also learned through training for vicars in 2018 at PPMT Soe. The learning process at PPMT made a special impression on me. This is a motivation, not only for me but also for the entire YASAP team. In 2022, YASAP will have the opportunity to implement organic farming, with support from Wilde Ganzen and YASAP Netherlands. With this support, YASAP received additional staff, which turned out to be people who have a high heart and enthusiasm for the development of organic agriculture. In this initial stage, we are strengthening our own capacity in YASAP's gardens and rice fields. In 2024, with the same issue, YASAP will still receive support from Wilde Ganzen and YASAP Netherlands for the development of organic farming, but YASAP through the existing team is starting to help and assist farmers around YASAP and also farmers in other villages. In fact, in several direct visits from various parties to YASAP, they immediately stated that they were very interested in the agricultural patterns and methods carried out by YASAP. Now my dream is slowly starting to come true.
YASAP is really needed by the community, both for education and economic empowerment. I still hope that YASAP will continue to grow and develop in a better and more developed direction. @debby
